Tournament registration fee will be waived for New USCF members paying for membership onsite! If you've never been a USCF member previous to this tournament, Watauga Chess will waive the cost of your entry fee. Note* players that win prize money who have their entry fee waived will have the entry fee deducted from their winnings. Master also qualify for free entry. Same payout rule applies.

Entry Fees: If pre-registered, $15 for regular, $10 for Jr, Sr, & Hcap. Add $5 for on-site registration. See above offer if you're a new USCF member and our joing onsite!!

Donation: Because of the Community Enrichment Center's generosity in letting us use their large
Community Room for our tournament site, please bring 2 or 3 cans of canned food as a donation
to their Food Pantry. The Community Enrichment Center helps low-income people and homeless
families with its Food Pantry and its Adopt-A-Family partnership.

Time Controls: Time control for the Open section is: games one and two Game/45, and games 3 and 4 Game/60. The time control for the reserved section is G/30. The TD has the option to shorten the basic time control for time-delay clocks per USCF rule 5Fa.

Schedule: Registration and check-in 8:15-8:45 a.m. Games start at 9:00 A.M.

Rating Sections. Open: Open to all players Reserve: Players below 1400 and unrated

Prizes: 2/3rds of entry fees will be returned as prizes. 1st/2nd Open section. 1st Reserve section B,C,E-under,unrated.

***Note... Winners of prizes that qualified for free entry will have the appropriate entry fee deducted from their winnings.

Prize Rating Classes: B (1600-1799), C (1400-1599), E & Under (100-1199), and Unrated

Equipment: Bring sets, boards, and clocks. Some sets and boards provided. No clocks provided.
